About Ryan…
Ryan Costello took office January, 2008. As Recorder of Deeds, Ryan
focuses on using technology and promoting office efficiency, to
reduce overall expenditures, while continuing to provide exceptional
customer service to document submitters and researchers.
Previously, Mr. Costello served as East Vincent Township Supervisor
for six years; the last four as Chairman. As a Township Supervisor,
Mr. Costello, with fellow Board members, was successful in
preserving over 390 acres of farmland, never raising taxes, and
professionalizing Township government services with the hiring of a
Township Manager, implementation of a Township website, and
quarterly Township newsletter, amongst other initiatives.
Mr. Costello is a 1995 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, 1999
graduate of Ursinus College, with honors, and 2002 graduate of
Villanova Law School. Since graduation, Mr. Costello has practiced
with the Pottstown and Phoenixville law firm of O’Donnell, Weiss &
Mattei, P.C., in their real estate department, business planning
department, and litigation department.
Mr. Costello regularly speaks to local business and real estate
organizations, university and college students, political and
non-profit organizations. In the past, he has presided over seminar
topics before Township officials regarding conditional use hearings
and open space programs.
Mr. Costello’s term as Recorder of Deeds is from 2008 to 2012. Mr.
Costello has previously served as East Vincent Township Republican
Committeeman, Area Republican Chair, and has volunteered on various
local, state and federal campaigns. He also serves as State
Committeeman for the 5th State Committee District in
Chester County. |
